The first Grand Prix in Austin

In 2012 it was the first time since 2007 Formula One came back to the United States.

A new circuit and nobody knew what to expect. Through the years we can say we saw many good races.

In 2012 Lewis Hamilton won the race. At that time still driving for Mclaren. Second Sebastian Vettel in the Red bull and third was Ferando Alonso in a Ferrari. Do you still remember it. I did not to be honest.

Pole position was in 2012 for Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton and Mark Webber completed the top 3. In those days we had 24 cars on the grid with HRT, Marussia and Caterham. I like it when there are more cars on the grid.

During the years we saw nice races like the overtaking of Max Verstappen on Kimi Raikkonen in the last corners for third place. Verstappen would not get the podium though. And also the last win of Kimi Raikkonen in 2018 is one to remember. Already five years ago.
